Orange County Boy Scouts, Santa Ana, California

Participating in the National Jamboree is a dream for any Boy Scout. Scout troops in Orange County, Calif. turned to RightResponse to make that dream a reality.

Parents and leaders knew they needed something different to raise enough money for Scouts to travel to West Virginia for the Jamboree.

When they found the first aid kits from RightResponse, adults felt the fundraiser had potential. Scouts soon turned that potential into profits.

In just two weeks, some 58 Scouts completed sales of $19,300. Three Scouts each brought in sales of more than $1,500.

The 50% profit on sales helped the troops exceed its fundraising goals quickly.

“That really helped my son offset the cost of this once-in-a-lifetime trip to the National Jamboree,” said one parent.

Next summer, an estimated 50,000 Scouts will join for the National Scout Jamboree. Troops from Orange County will be well represented there, thanks to hard work and RightResponse!
